Results are up.
The masters team results don't come up. Geesh.

What's Forest Braden been up to these last couple/few years? It seemed like he was at Boise State forever (it was probably only five years, but it still seemed like a long time), but since he left I haven't seen many (any?) results from him This is a really solid performance for him.
Actually he was 3rd in this very race a year ago as well. He also ran in the mid 28:30's last year in an attempt to get to the trials as a member of the Indiana Elite squad that is coached by Chapman. If it seemed like he was at Boise State for "a long time," it's because he was at a high level early on in his career and ran pretty fast as a sophomore-13:45 and was a 7-8 time national qualifier.

And all that with a Shoelace untied the entire way! Stopped, lost 50 places, couldn't re-tie them in the cold, so he battled on. Awesome run!
Scotty ran 13:37 at Synaptics 5K with its 15 sharp turns. He got passed by Carlson and fought all the way to the finish. There is easily a 3 minute 10K conversion. Scotty is in 27:30 shape.
You wear the badge for a reason. If the douchebag got tased, he probably deserved it. He was wasted, in the girls bathroom, but didn't deserve to get his ass tased???? Really. I'm sure he wasn't prosecuted because the cops didn't want to fill out the paperwork.

taser boy wasn't in the bathroom, and he wasn't found guilty, so shut it.
Congrats to the women's Run Ohio team for still putting together a great race to finish a close 5th. They only showed up with 5 women - as their likely #1 had to back out 3 days before the race due to a family passing. 5th runner for their team placed 102nd.
Looks like all runners got to be part of a race they won't forget for quite some time.
where is the 2009 race going to be??

They're up now.
Congrats to 50 year old Monica Joyce who chose to run in the open race (without representing a full team). And ran considerably faster than anyone in the masters race. Smart decision Monica as you are in a different league than Carmen.
Every team in that race is missing someone, could have done better if ________, etc, etc, etc. 1/2 the battle is getting a team to the starting line.

McCullough didn't run, ended up not going.
Seriously, Mike Gerber was not ever in the girls bathroom. That was the guy from Club Northwest. He wasn't prosecuted because the county didn't have a case. Seven witnesses for Gerber and just the officer for himself.
Missing from all the comments I've seen so far are well-deserved commendations for the race officials and volunteers who where out there for much longer than most of us. I saw Don Kardong, among many others of the locals, who must have spent at least six hours standing around in what were just the worst conditions ever. They managed to get all the races off on time, there were only minor problems with the results which were quickly corrected, and in general all went much better than could reasonably been expected.

I promise to keep Mr. Gerbers name alive. I will ask about him every year. That was the funniest thing I had ever witnessed,
I take it no one got tased or got too unruly at the post race party?
Maybe we start the Michael Gerber Award presented by letsrun.com.
No one was tased at the after-party. I heard from teammates that Goodtymes (the bar people went to afterwards) was a bit out of control.
I am all in. I say we make it a traveling trophy with a new name engraved annually.
