i guess you have never heard of the concept of efficiency or even splits!

This whole thread has become another in a long line of threads that display the outright jealousy so many yanks have towards Rupp. He won the race. That's it. He's put it on the line and run some great times. He apparently isn't intimidated by the E. Africans like the rest of you and he will continue to improve and post competitive times and run competitive races against them. Unless the jealous cowards that fire off their hate bombs left and right. Simply because a scrawny kid has more balls than they do.
here we go again...sorry western mentality...that's the kind of sorry thinking that led to ryan hall's getting walloped in beijing, and which is why rupp will not be a factor in the next international competition when the guys run away from him early..but he'll the picture of efficiency and have perfect splits!
Just because one smiles for the cameras to feign effortlessness, or another has deadened legs at the end of a windy, sporadic 6.2 miler, doesn\'t justify half of the terribly arrogant and over-exaggerated statements that have been derived from the exegesis of either of the above.
They're just trying to keep all of their exegesis in one basket, which we all know is a bad idea.
tsk,tsk,tsk.
keep living in your wonder world of eastern philosphy, while us in the west continue drinking tea and living the high life.
keep winning those turkey trots you so badly strive to win, but first make sure you dont post on letsrun sounding like you are any better than your western counterparts. I could keep this ferocious, yet useless, bombastic monologue going but i cant stay any longer or else i will miss my rendezvous with hermann hesse and abraxas in pergatory.
best of luck dropping out of your next race because you foolishy believed you had balls of steel and went out at four minute mile pace in your local jingle bell run.
even splits are for n00bs, I don't think that a championship race should ever be won with even splits, it shows cowardice... Rupp is a coward, if he had balls he would have one upped Chelange's 2:35 and ran the next 1K in 2:30... b/c he didn't he doesn't really deserve the title, or that girl that kissed him at the end of the race...
heres the real deal. sam is an amazing runner and obviously so is rupp. but if everyone didnt notice sam didnt run like he had raced previously (most likely due to josh mcd telling him about how to beat rupp and changing chelangas strategy). If you didnt notice sam had a massive lead and rupp caught him within seconds... if sam had stayed at a race pace rupp would have not caught him untill late in the race. Sam was scared of rupp beating him at the end because of josh so he slowed down for rupp. I truly believe if sam had raced like the normal sam he would have won or both of them would have died battling each other. Look at the finish and ull see sam is not tired in the slightest. He underestimated rupps kick. Overall sam has some things to learn about racing in big races with competition. But the kid is amazing, and has beat world class runner such as alistar craig who he outkicked at the reebok meet when running 1324. Its going to be very interesting for track now that i think sam has learned some things. But on the other hand rupp is a track specialist so i cant really pick one or the other. But i will call right now rupp for the 10k AR this spring (if he stays healthy)
chelanga is doping like a madman. him and mcdougal shoot up regularly in liberty's confessional room. but dont worry they repent and are forgiven by God!!!
funnt the first reference to drugs is about the guy who just began running 2 years ago....

Chelanga ran a brave but not smart race, and treated Rupp like he Rupp would not have the capacity to match him over 10K ? Rupp's credentials should have been brought into the equation more, and although I beleive a fast start to separate the men from the boys was good tactic, Chelanga should have let Rupp take some of the pace. Rupp simply outclassed him and was the clear professional in this one !
On the contrary, the one and ONLY thing that shined through was Chelanga's lack of a hyperbolic time chamber and breathe-right strip.[
