I was wondering about some supplements that can help out for running. Obviously theres multivitamins.. what are the benefits of fish oil? flaxseed oil? any other recommended supplements?

I think the biggest thing you could take is something that will help you recover from workouts. I use endurox r4, and ultragen when I feel like splurging before a key race.
hhmm...how about a well balanced diet...proper rest. no "recovery" drink is better than just doing things right
I'm recovering from a stress fracture and I'm wondering if taking something like Bone-Up would speed up the recovery and prevent stress fractures in the future? Anyone have any similar experiences?

I try to Bone-Up as often as possible.
I take PR1pak, flax oil and fish oil. Seems to work for me.
"And too there were the questions: What did he eat? Did he believe in isometrics? Isotonics? Ice and heat? How about aerobics, est, ESP, STP? What did he have to say about yoga, yogurt, Yogi Berra? What was his pulse rate, his blood pressure, his time for the 100-yard dash? What was the secret, they wanted to know; in a thousand different ways they wanted to know The Secret. And not one of them was prepared, truly prepared to believe that it had not so much to do with chemicals and zippy mental tricks as with that most unprofound and sometimes heart-rending process of removing, molecule by molecule, the very tough rubber that comprised the bottoms of his training shoes. The Trial of Miles; Miles of Trials. How could they be expected to understand that?"

You want a good Cissus product, such as
http://www.discountanabolics.com/p/PF28I'd be careful. Not sure about the quality of healing with things like that. It may be better to meet it more through diet.
I take glucosamine and chondroitin though.

Actually studies have shown, and don't ask me to find them again, but studies have shown that taking a multivitamin only seems to improve performance when you take it for an extended amount of time THEN stop taking it for a couple weeks and then take it again. Weird I know but I couldn't make that up.
Would you recommend taking all of these or just some?

Racing Weight by Matt Fitzgerald has a good discussion of supplements.
Hey Guys,
Thought I could help out a little here. Multi Vitamin is good especially if your diet isn't as balanced as it should be. Glucosamine is great especially if you have a problem with joint health and have a history of being injured a lot. FIsh oil is like natures ibuprofen, so I would definitely recommend taking that as well, it keeps any inflammation that may occur down.
Another thing I would definitely recommend is using endurox about 15 minutes after a workout- its exactly what your body needs and will make you feel amazing the next day, try it- trust me. Also if you have some extra money i would invest in a pair of compression tights, they REALLY help with recovery. After a tough workout put them on for a hour or so and it literally squeezes the muscle and lets the blood run through it quicker and in doing that recovers sore and torn muscles faster. The best on the market is the CW-X performx.
The last tip I can offer for right now is to drink a lot, A LOT of water. People underestimate this so much, it's not even funny. Not to the point where you have that sloshy feeling of so much water in your stomach, just gradually sip on water all day long. Remember your body is made of mostly water and the more water your cells have the faster they will recover, obviously you don't want to drown yourself, but just gradually sip all day on water.
I hope this advice helps and please let me know if you have any other tips you may need!
