His senior year of High School, Rupp was held out of his district cross country meet by Salazar to rest him and prevent any injury before the State meet. Even at that young age, he was being pampered and treated like a Diva.

This thread is so funny lol
Smart move for Rupp. Being careful and smart gave him longevity as runner. Now world class the other runners he ran with10 years ago are hurt and injuried.

The Other CU Home Course (Cornell University's Moakley Course)
Ithaca, NY
NOT Rupp Certified
Justification: There is a huge downhill and uphill in the last mile known as the gorge. Going down and up this alone would make it way too dangerous. Throw in rut after rut in the middle of the gorge plus and a billion fallen leaves that make it wetter than a slip n' slide and you have a course that is a trial lawyer's dream.
As I was trying to make the gorge safer today for our home meet tmw, I actually thought to myself, "No way would Salazar let Rupp run this thing."
I probably shouldn't let my guys run it tomorrow but the gorge is a tradition.
Don't you think that part of the course would dissuade a potential recruit?

Army's Course 2008
Location: West Point, NY
NOT Rupp certified
Justification(s):
#1: you have to run up a ski slope 3 times
#2: there are no bathroom facilities except port-a-potty's (risking dangerous exposure to foreign germs)
#3 at points there are acorns and small rocks ON THE COURSE! Treacherous, to say the least.
#4 thyroid medication may be confiscated at military checkpoints
#5 sex-starved Army cadets may find shaved legs (read: fresh meat) and centerfold poses (see above link) a little too exciting (treachery, indeed!)
rupp ftw over chelanga
Do you mean Chelanga that retired?
(he's not running for WCAP either)
Former MIAA runner. Multiple teams' home course.
Baltimore, MD, Herring Run Park
NOT Rupp certified. 1-ish mile on concrete so no spikes (the metal bits), and 3 big hills / downhills on trails
