I am a junior in high school with a PR of 17:00 my first meet of the year. I have had a back injury and been sick and got two bad weeks of practice in after my first meet. My times have gotten slower with a horrible time this weekend of 1849. I have conference next week and districts in 2 weeks. Is it possible to get back into the good shape i was in before all of this happened. I ran around 50 miles a week during the summer and have been doing high 20s for the past month because of coaches coaching. We do 2 mile repeats, 1 mile repeats, and 800 repeats. Do u think if i can run close to low 17s again in two weeks if i up my mileage or decrease my mileage or what? thanks
