Gaining a spot on the Oly team is not quite winning the trials.
Rupp obviously has lots of talent, so does Bauhs, Chelenga, and many others. What separates these athletes is the ability to step up, the difference between being a champion and NOT.
I don't know the personalities of all the top contenders this year, but I do know enough about Rupp to be 99% certain he can't win.
