I recently discovered dumbbell bench presses. The regular bench press used to hurt my shoulders. It's sort of challenging to get used to it. In my workout today, I did a warm up then 2 sets of 10 at 75 lbs in each hand for 150 total. I think I'm capable of doing 8 reps of 90 in each hand but I'm going to increase the weight slowly.
I also did squats (with proper form of course) of 245 for 8 reps and 265 for 4 reps. I didn't use a belt. I know doing this won't really help running. I'm probably only good for a 21 min 5k right now. I could probably run a decent 100m. It's pretty cool to feel stronger though.
Anybody do dumbbell presses?
