I have this.. One is shorter than the other. What are you referring to with 'this is very easy to handle'? I can't seem to find any solution that relieves the pain caused by this.
Best regards

Exact same problem. All stemmed from sports hernia.
Postural Restoration Institute is to my knowledge the far best place to learn about our asymmetric bodies, including pain as described here. The kind of program I would guess they would put you on is like this
- proper breathing, in particular engage left diaphragm and right apical lung training
- left hip training to obtain proper weight shift from right to left
- integrate the above into walking/running
Hello please help, i have one side longer than the other.
I would like to share this and it helps a lot. I have the same problem due to lumbar back and neck injury. One day I was at a doctor's clinic and I heard that this doctor has effective treatments for all sorts of stuff. I reserved an appointment and started the treatment after I tried so many things and medications by other doctors and nothing really worked. I promise that it won't hurt to try because it helped me a lot. The name of the treatment is electro magnetic resonance therapy with pro equipment for each kind of problem. I am telling u that you will be cured but you might. In my case I have been suffering for 15 years and nothing worked with me until I tried this, I felt 10 yea s younger and 80 percent better. So I hope this helps some of you.
Tell me if you tried it and if it helped.
I have these exact same symptoms for 7+years now and its driven me into depression. Jbl still active? Would love to talk
JBL still active?
I had the same problem, no one could understand, they think I’m making it up. After going to the emergency room, urgent care countless times, and found nothing, I finally went to the chiropractor after a year and a half of feeling this way. I felt severely disabled, they found that I had a atlas misalignment, which throws your whole body off. Learning about this has changed my life. You need to get it checked.

I wAs so depressed and felt like I couldn’t go on in my own body.
I think what I’m experiencing is very similar to what has been discussed earlier. My symptoms all started 9 months ago when I was pushing my self through squats and bench press. The tightness and discomfort started in my right glute (butt) and right pec (chest). The feeling was not super painful but felt like there was and is tightness and a feeling like my muscles are over isolated or concentrated. My body feels off and completely right side dominate through my muscles. I’ve tried stretching out my glute and it makes it worse. When I’m sitting it feels a portion of my glute is protruding. Running may have helped but it hard to say. I tried deadlifting on a good day and I could feel right where irritation occurred and it made it worse. Even eating a lot food feels makes it worse because it feels like my chest and butt bulks up only on the right side and tightens up. Any comments to help or diagnosis this situation is greatly appreciated. Not sure if this is a nerve, muscle, atlas, anxiety or wtf
Hi I’ve been having this issue too for about a year and a half. I’ve gone to so many doctors. They thought I had a stroke so many times but didn’t do anything to check me because I’m in my twenties. I can’t explain the feeling to anyone and no one understands. It’s painful sometimes but mostly tightness uncomfortable soreness on my face, neck, shoulder, arm, wrist, hand, side abdomen, back, hip, entire leg and foot on the right side. When It get intense i get so desperate. I’ve tried turmeric pills and cbd joint oil which have helped a bit. I always still get very worried that it might be stroke related but that’s when I get really bad anxiety over feeling this for weeks to months non stop. Driving makes it work or sitting and standing in bad posture. ANY NEW INFO PLEASE COMMENT.
Did anyone solve this yet?
Im having the same thing for over 2 years. Started in my right shoulder after sleeping. I can add in that my whole right sids of my body feels closer the spine somehow. I also experience your symptoms as well, i would love to get help with this. My first therapist said i should strengthen my rotator cuff and another doctor said I’m suffering from stress and all that other stuff, well I am because of these symptoms, it doesn’t hurt very much but it’s driving me crazy!!
Hi,
I have had this issue since herniated disc at L5/S1 in 1998 made whole right side rigid and bent over - abs rigid like rock.
Osteopath released mid back and upper back and neck tightness eased.
Sciatica got much worse and had to have laminectomy.
Week after got out of hospital big jolt in mid back at base of ribs and whole of thoracic spine and neck went rigid again.
Not been able to sit easily or lie flat since.
Tried everything.
Was put on diazepam.
Even on diazepam has tight area at base of right ribs that nothing would release but occasionally woul ‘clunk’ and let go and whole upper back, shoulder, neck, lumbar region and leg would all let go.
Longest release lasted from 2001 when had surgery was 2 days - leg even worked better.
Couple of times when walking got intense ripping pain up from pubic bone and it suddenly all let go. Other times it has release have always been when randomly moved in flexion.
Now in utter hell because tried to get off of diazepam after 20 years and the tightness is so bad there is no bearable position.
The contracture has caused a lot of spinal degeneration and now have kyphotic hump at top of thoracic spine that has fused at T2/3 and vertebra pushed forward at T10/11 that have also fused.
Now in withdrawal buttocks got a rigid band across out from sacrum, whole right hip tight and painful, obliques on right pulling hip up, groin tight, abs on right tight, sacrum rigid and painful, neck forced into terrible forward head posture and head being pulled back, shoulders on both sides rigid, jaw on both sides so tight snaps shut if try to open it.
Tried reinstating g Benzos but now horrific paradoxical side effects - tried every other muscle relaxant and nothing helps and get horrific side effects from everything g now as CNS sensitised from benzo withdrawal and am having to retapering off as was put on Clonazepam which makes all areas that are rigid collapse completely.
It is so tight it is arching my spine up off of sofa, bending surgery site back and has caused more facet joint degeneration in 7 months between two MRIs. Muscles so contracted my spine can’t extend to proper length. Sciatica back.
I have a lot of degeneration in spine.
I try to do exercises and stretch but nothing helps and never has in decades.
Mine all fulcrums around base of ribs and while mainly on right also creates torsion across back of body to left shoulder.
Nothing on MRI explains it.
I have hypermobility Syndrome which May play a part.
I have made a fatal decision coming off diazepam. Was hoping you guys had an answer.
If you look at Trigger Point App available from App Store ( the one with blue bits on) there are two areas in back that refer up and down which seem to be where all of mi e originates from and also round into front of lower abs where I also have tight painful lump.
I know someone else in benzo withdrawal who has this on the left.
I hope someone will find an answer.
I can’t even lie on sofa with legs up now and lying on side is causing more damage to shoulders and hips. I can’t lie on exercise mat as too painful on buttocks, sacrum, sitting on memory foam too painful and upper body and jaw stuff unbearable.
Thank you for this post! At least I’m not crazy. When I have more time I’ll come back and post details.
Any update?

Came across this post when researching for one of my patients. She has the exact same symptoms, complaining of entire right sided "heaviness, tightness, and dullness". All started after a hip subluxation over a year ago. She is a long and triple jumper who has actually recovered well and competed at a very high level, but has now come to me with right sided shoulder and neck symptoms. Have any of these suggestions been looked into and found successful?
