yea i broke 3, but it sure wasn't pretty. 2:59:16. i caught up to these 2 guys i knew at 3 miles. at around4 or 5 i started feeling great. i was clicking off 6:25-35 for a whil. we were flying, talking it was awesome. 1:26:15 at half. 6:20 for 14, 6:24 for 15 and than shit show. i hit a huge wall. my guess the 10n days i took off. i haven't run over 20 miles in 3.5 weeks, my body just wasn't ready for the pounding. i held on for as long i could. tried to tsya under 7's. ran 6:40's until 21 than finally dropped a 7:05. the 5 miles were run 4 mins walk 10-15 seconds finish the mile and repeat. ran the last 1.2 last 10k was ugly, prob 7:35-40 pace. aerobically i was fine, but my legs jst couldn't take the pounding. i was on 2:52 pace through 18 or maybe even 19 than just faded. i kinda stopped caring though. i knew i was gonna hurt so my major goal was boston so my last 6 were how much time do i have to get to boston? I kept things under control for the most part 7:20-7:40 pretty much with an 8 min 23rd mile. closed last 1.2 at 7:10.
Sorry to hear about your guys bad luck, it sure was windy the last few miles. what do u think went wrong alex?
