what happened to them at Spiked Shoe? They got swept by Syracuse and it seems some of the upper class guys just simply sh*t the bed...

i dont think all of their guys ran
Not many were missing... A quick look and it seems only 3 tops guys didn't run - Tyler McCandless, Lucas Zarzeczny, and Brian Fuller. So some of these guys finishing are still going to be fighting for 4-7 spots... not looking too good for the team at this point.
haha its a good thing our football team will drag Syracuse around the field by their testicles this afteroon... a little revenge!
I heard their coach is really awesome, I wonder why their cross country team is so bad recently? don't they get ridiculously good recruits, too? i wonder why they aren't that good?

That's funny cause i heard the exact opposite about their coach
58 Samuel Borchers, So 28:19 5:27 Penn State
I would think if he could run a 401 mile and is the 1500 big ten champion that he would be better at cross country
Artie must be having them train through.
good start for syracuse... itll be interesting to see how they perform against more competition... hopefully this is the year they can make that breakthrough

I've heard nothing but good things about PSU's coach.
I've always heard bad things abut Penn State's coaching. They get very talented recruits that don't end up running as fast as they should. That's what I've always been told anyway...
As a coach, when you can take a 4:01 miler and make him a 28:00 min 8ker.....you're much better off sticking to recruiting and let someone else who knows what there doing do the coaching.
what if the 401 miler hasnt been that good in cross country in the past and doesnt really care about it. He still ran 401 and 149 as a frosh... It is hard to make someone do something they dont really want to do.
Sam Borchers is not apparently an XC runner, he is also less than consistent on the track as well.
An amazing talent, hard to believe he can never seem to avg 5:00 a mile for XC.
One of the difficulties with PSU program, right now.Huge talents all over ,none run XC well at all. No focus.

to be fair, 28:19 for 5.2 converts to about 27:00 for 8K. your point, however, is well-taken.
The answer to your question is this... There is only one sport that matters at Penn State and they certainly didn't get swept by Syracuse today.... 55-13.
It is hard to believe the talent gap has widened so much that PSU could crush Syracuse this badly even in their down years, it is a shame what has happened at the Cuse except in XC, Lacrosseand maybe hoops. They dropped wrestling and had National Champs, their hoops team is down, altho Macnamara kept them alive for two years. It is Lacrosse and XC as the banner sports.
Who is the xc coach at Penn State?
Beth Sullivan
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
