UFC is staged like an Obama Press conference
in a fight who would win. well think about it a mma fighter has to train for each fight so they are ready for the other fighter, they train to fight against the other guys way of fighting, if hes a stand up fighter they train stand up but try to take them down, if hes a ground fighter the he trains to stay up the whole fight, now if the fight was set up then he would train to fight the seal or marine. but would still get beat.
a seal/marine are trained to fight and live, they dont lose and dont ever give up. now the seal or marine would beat the mma fighter if it was a street fight, but you are also wrong that if the fight was set up then the marine or seal would also have the ability to train for the fight and the seal or marine would still win.
there is a reason those guys are tought how to kill people quick and easy, because if they do go hand to hand its life or death, and its never going to be one on one it will be the seal or marine on who knows how many. anyone that thinks a mma fighter will beat a seal or marin recon is a f***ing idiot if a seal or marine sneaks up on you he would eather kill you using a knife or his hand, i would use my hand so i dont have to clean my knife
False. You know nothing.
PS it's "taught"
The answer to the question is easy. If a United State Marine Recon faught a UFC fighter, or a United States Navy Seals faught a UFC fighter the military spec ops would win hands down. A UFC fighter is trained to defeat their opponent within the rules, A spec ops soldier is trained to KILL. To spec ops personel nothing else matters except killing the enemy.

It's pretty funny that you think a UFC guy would follow the rules outside of the cage. When Chuck Liddell was a bartender, him and a buddy knocked out 4 seals in a bar. My old MMA gym was near a military base and probably about 25% of the members were from the armed forces. They would come in with a chip on their shoulder and get humbled very quickly...
Heck, when the UFC had few rules, there was an Army Ranger who wanted to fight. He was also a powerlifting champion who was one the strongest men in the world. Needless to say, he got knocked out in one of the fastest KO's in UFC history. One shot to the head and he quit.
Many MMA fighters come from the armed forces with some also from special forces. Some are decent fighters and some aren't good enough for local ammy shows. These guys find out that MMA is for real.
Some of the guys who train the armed forces are top MMA coaches. These coaches might train the military in a weekend seminar but train their fighters everyday, several hours a day. Who would you put your money on... If you have any doubts, go to a sparring session at your closest, decent MMA gym and see how you do.
I have a few words for blaznbison24. 1st, hitting someone with the palm of your hand actually increases the force of that hit, and spreads it across a greater area, It turns your arm into a shorter lever, which may travel slower, but still has equal, if not greater power. As for Chuck Liddel's supposed koing of 4 navy SEAL's, I just now learned of that and i believe that's hearsay. And as for the "Navy SEAL" that goes to your gym and loses all the time. Maybe he has a heart and doesnt feel like tearing everyone in that gym apart. the hand-hand methods taught to SEAL's are techniques that kill the adversary as quickly and effienctly as possible , we're talking about seconds here, not minutes, no breaks, no refs, no rules, just your will to live, calmness, and your skills to keep you alive on the battlefield. Do you really think he's going to kill you in a friendly wrestling competition.
If you wanna see who is better at fighting then give the MMA fighter a knife and blindfold the SEAL, blast loud music with a fog machine and strobe light, unblind him while someone is attacking him (punching, kicking, spitting, etc.), and have the guy with the knife charge him from 10ft away (2 second warning max.)
the MMA fighter will die without even realizing it, and the Navy SEAL would probably be feeling pity on him due to his reaction on muscle memory (Due to the training they go through) SEAL's and Marines would own MMA in all places but the cage, and maybe even there. srry for poor grammar and typos, i wrote this in a hurry.
Seriously man, I don't know where to begin. Palm strikes are more lethal? Did you learn that in Kung-Fu while learning the forms of the badger, wasp and cheetah? I'd much rather get pimp slapped than punched in the face.
And what hand-to-hand techniques can kill? I would like to hear names of hits, not some ancient martial art belief practiced after a dungeons and dragons meeting.
I just have flashbacks of Randy Couture, in the middle of his earlier retirement submitting the close combats instructor 7 or 8 times in like two minutes on Pros vs. Joes. The funny thing is, Randy has only submitted two people in MMA in over 10 years. Before the match, the special forces guy was running his mouth. Also as mentioned earlier, many navy seals, special forces members and military people currently compete in MMA. They aren't champions because they don't put in the many, many hours it takes to be the best.
As mentioned earlier, take a visit to your closest MMA gym. Go to a sparring class and see if you can load one punch or kick at one of their guys. Go to jiu jitsu class and see how many times you get submitted. You have nothing to lose... Where are you located, maybe I can suggest a gym.
And you can see the latest UFC fighter who is a Navy Seal at the link posted below. The Seal is Brandon Wolff, while the other MMA fighter, Ben Saunders is just a middle of the road guy in the UFC.

Everyone who thinks a Marine/Seal would win this fight is f***ing stupid.
I have sparred with few army guys while I was in officer training and also with a few marines. I have several friends that are marines and 2 that are seals. I have one friend that is a semi-mma fighter.
This is not a f***ing movie! Yes, Marines/Seals are trained to kill, but most of it is done with weapons. Do you think a group of Marines/Seals is sent on a mission with just their bare hands??? No
MMA fighters train and condition day in and day out to fight. They know how to kill someone. I know how to kill someone with my hands and haven't had any extensive training.
MMA fight rapes the Marine/Seal in a street/cage fight.
Now, given certain situations, ie: terrain, food, weapons...the marine/seal could easily outsmart and kill the mma fighter.

The reason UFC has weight classes, restricted moves, and some of the other rules is so they could get legitamcy from the Nevada State Athletic Commission in order to hold events. In most states fights are illegal. Even boxing or whatever. They must be approved by the goverment.
As far as who would win. I think the UFC dude because alltough SEALs are trained in Muy Thuy and Escrima (stick fighting) they do not have the daily practice a UFC fughter would have, repetition is the key to expertise. SEALs are tough as hell but having done some very minimal MMA training I learned quickly thay skill with Brazillian jujitsu is a phenomal advantage. I am 220 and would fight to a stalemate on the mat with guys who weighed 150 just because of their skill. It was scary impressive.
Have a good day, my advice is don't fight either.
the navy SEAL would win without a doubt, he is trained to kill his opponent as quickly as possible without hesitation. the ufc fighter would be too pussy 2 execute a fatal move whereas the SEAL would have no problem crippling and killing his opposer

It wouldn't even be close. Unless the military person is skilled in the martial arts, he wouldn't even have an outside chance against a UFC fighter.
Thats exactly right these civilians do not know anything about what we do or what we know so let them think how they wont. I guess thats what we fight for to be put down by them.
Look, the guys in UCF are good fighters. They would kick the crap out of any regular guy or even anyone in the WWE. No question about that. But you're talking about the elite of the US Military. Trust me, I've been through level 1 Army combatives training (they literally teach it to EVERYONE). The SEALS are the best of the best! They have wayyyy better and wayyyy more advanced training than anyone else.
If they go into it knowing it's them or the UCF guy, nothing will stop them....
I don't know why this thread was dug back up, but can we stop with this illusion that SEALS would win because they "fight to the death."
A UFC guy, particularly a BJJ guy, would take the SEAL down and incapacitate him. It's really hard to do anything when your arm is broken from an arm bar or kimura, or you are put to sleep from a rear naked choke. I don't care how determined you are. And they end of the day, they are human too.
I'm not trying to put down what the SEALS and Marines do. My brother is in the armed forces and I knew a Marine in college who was friends with our XC team.
This notion that liberals hate America and the armed forces is nothing but an attempt by conservatives to jack each other off.
Also, whoever keeps posting that UFC is fake, you are doing a horrible attempt at trolling.
UFC fighter would LOSE. He would NOT submit the Marine or SEAL. They are trained to kill, not submit. No rules involved the armed forces would win hands down!
I know the answer to this. I am not a UFC fighter, but I do aspire to be one. After my college track years were done about a two years ago I started training myself to be a fighter. I seriously have been teaching myself Jiu Jitsu from instructional videos on the web. Although they are not as good as real classes, when you have no money they are the next best thing. Well anyway I work with a guy who used to be a ranger. He was talking like he was a badass, which he was, and I said I would fight him. I took him down and had him in a choke hold in about 40 seconds. He wanted a rematch right after. I got him in an arm bar in about the same amount of time. I am nowhere near the level of a UFC caliber fighter. By the way the guy out weighed me by 16 lbs. True story.
Honestly the UFC guy would be stabbed dead in bed while asleep the day he pissed off the Marine. There's no rules in war.
There are many former servicemen in the UFC...as that is where many of them first got their training.
