U.S. Recon Marine/Navy SEAL vs. UFC Fighter: Who Wins?

seriously this has gotten way outta control. there are marines and seals out there who are better fighters then any ufc guy. of course not everyone in the Corps or a seal is as tough as the next guy. i can guarantee there is a marine or sailor out there who is just as good or better than the best in ufc. there are around 200,000 marines. im sure there is more than one in that bunch that could kill even the best ufc fighter. if u dont think so then u obviously dont know much about the military. some marines fight everyday not just every couple months. the marines have there own martial arts program that is very basic at first then gets much more difficult on the way up. of course some black belts in MCMAP are not true fighters but there are some who are. the Corps has all the way up to 6 degree black belt training. bottom line is that there are marines/seals out there who could kill a ufc fighter. not all of them could but they are out there.

It's an insult to America to even pose such a ridiculous question. Fire, forrestry, Hollywood stuntmen, NFL players, police, UFC, Boxing all are under controlled risk situations with coaches and lawyers and are performed by civilians who can quit at anytime. America asks the military to knowingly and consciously walk into live fire, IEDs, mortars, bombs and to give up all of their tomorrows for their country. There is no comparison at all. The level of sacrifice that the military is asked to do requires courage 100 orders of magnitude over anything a civilian will ever experience.

What's the purpose of a Marine that fights every day ? Train others in fighting ? If that's the only thing they do, then I would call them a fighter that happens to be in the Marines. One would think they would need a mix of training in a variety of different skills to make them effective in combat situations. If they do nothing but fight, then essentially they ARE UFC fighters, they just get paid by the US government.

isn't this the same question that the ufc (and mma in general) set out to answer? who would win in a fight between... and ,....? the answer is the same as it always was: whoever happens to be best at his own particular style. top wrestlers beat less than top jui-jitsu, top bjj guys beat less than top sambo guys, top sambo guys beat top kickboxers. a military guy who is at the top of his training would probably beat any mma fighter who isn't at the top of their style, and vice versa. the better question is who would win between the best fighter in the recon/seals or fedor/silva/gsp?

Absolutely no contest. A SEAL would kill a top UFC fighter in moments. IDK about a marine.

Some guy on here said he didn't think SEALS have actually had to use their hand to hand abilities often. He has no idea what he is talking about.

I thought everyone already agreed that GSP or The Spider could destroy anyone and everyone should they so desire... honestly, next time there's a war, they should just send one of those badasses over... all he'd have to do is flex and give 'em a mean look and he'd have the whole army shitting their pants and running home to mommy...

ufc doesn't attract the top fighters at all. only losers and dopers who can't compete on the normal circuit. ufc is staged by producers and scripted by screenwriters. it's very entertaining, never boring, but also not real. the stunts are performed by actors with stage names.

u r right..that is the purpose of some marines. thats why we have something called an MOS or Billet. many marines only purpose is to train other marines in fighting techniques. the difference between mma and marine training is that the marine trains to kill quickly and move to the next threat. any fighter knows that not all hand to hand combat ends quickly so we are also taught other methods of fighting. but most training is directed toward inflicting death or serious injury. mma is great but combat is real. if a marine is not at the top of his game he is ineffective in a combat situation. i love ufc but the fact is that yes many ufc fighters would destroy alot of marines...but there are plenty of marines out there who are skilled enough to kill any ufc fighter. thats why we are known as the fiercest fighting force on the planet...we are killers not fighters. those marines who train others to fight ARE NOT UFC fighters...they are warriors. ufc is a game. being a marine is a way of life. Every Marine is a rifleman and is trained in all aspects of combat.

some people don't care about being a ufc champ or making enough money to retire. some people just love the Corps and love doing what it takes to defend this country. luckily we have people like him or u would be drafted and u would find out what it takes to carry the title "Marine"....which i doubt u could do. so go back to eating your potato chips on your couch watching ufc on spike TV and enjoying your freedom to do so. u sleep safely at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on your behalf. freedom isn't free but the Marines will pay your share.

I've trained with fighters and I've trained with my Marine Option Instructor (A prior enlisted major in the Corps) and i can tell you, with brutal honesty, that my MOI would wreck any fighter.

It's a commonly held belief in the military that the different military combatives are inferior to that of the UFC.

That's why you don't see many military guys defeating UFC/MMA guys.

Your average SEAL/MARINE/Green Beret won't have the training to defeat one of these guys.

Even the ones that put in the hours and get the specialized training don't have enough time to get to the same level.

wwe/ufc/mma are doped/fake stunt plays with coaches and managers to tap out and directors to orchestrate the action. only washed up losers are into those shows.

The hot heads need to calm down. Please realize that the security of our nation does not lie soley in the hands of our ground troops. They do an honorable job, but the reality is we owe all of our respect to the handful of nerd scientists and engineers who have helped developed the greatest weapons arsenal in the world. If our security really relied so heavily on our ground troops we would be *&^ked. We currently have the 6th largest army in the world; those ahead of us are China, India, North Korea, South Korea and Pakistan and none of them are a military threat we can't deal with. So calm down, you've done a great and honorable job and no one is arguing this, but the real security of our nation resides in our wealth, the debt we owe and the products of our nations great scientific minds (and the german ones we stole).

UFC, college football, etc. is just a game with coaches and parents at the games to protect the players. The Marines and others are for real, it's kill or be killed.

I apologize ahead of time, as my post was not meant to be a criticism of the military. I love our military and it is essential to the security of our nation. I just don't appreciate the notion that the rest of us are worthless pions just because we have not fought or stood in a uniform. Everyone who contributes to our economy contributes to our security. Real power and security resides in money and the money you owe.

As for the question at hand, I'm going with the top few militarty personel as winners against the top UFC. I think a few posters have pointed out the the UFC is largely staged at this point. Remember in the 80's when we children were all shocked to find out Hulk Hogan's shirt was designed to tear. Death match definitely the top brass (not the bottom) unless there are rules then a top fighting champ (not UFC) would have a chance.

THE UFC IS NOT STAGED, IT IS NOT WWE/WWF/PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING BS. IT IS REAL FIGHTING.
