What sort of cross country times should a senior guy in high school be running in order to be able to get a free ride somewhere at a D-1 school? Can a kid who does just cross country and NOT track get a straight x-country schol, or are d-1 programs expecting cross country recruits to compete for them in the winter and spring. Are there D2 programs which can offer a free ride. What programs in the Northeast offer full x-country schols? Is it pretty much time driven, or does a kid have to have done well at footlocker or what? How about partial schols?
