last five plus weeks. I've been having a little trouble hitting my workouts for the last two weeks, so I'm thinking a little change up is in order. I'm running Chicago on 10/12 and am moving from a seven day to a ten day schedule (I'm shooting for sub-2:30). mpm = minutes per mile.
9/1 - 10 moderate (6:30-6:40mpm)
9/2 - 4 am ez (7+mpm), 7 hard (2x2 mile at 5:30 w/3min rest)
9/3 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/4 - 12 with 6-7 at mp (5:40-5:45mpm)
9/5 - 8 ez
9/6 - 10 ez
9/7 - 22, 4ez-13 quick (6mpm)-4ez
9/8 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/9 - 10 moderate
9/10 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/11 - 10 moderate
9/12 - 10 at mp
9/13 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/14 - 2.5 hour run (start at 7:20, work down) about 22mi
9/15 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/16 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/17 - 10 moderate
9/18 - Track, alternate miles between 6 mpm and 5:20 mpm for 10 miles
9/19 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/20 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/21 - 15k race am, 4 ez pm
9/22 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/23 - 10 moderate
9/24 - 4x2mi repeats, 10 total.
9/25 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/26 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
9/27 - 5 or 10k race, 4 ez pm
9/28 - 2.5 hr run
9/30 - 4 ez am, 6 ez pm
10/1 - Track, alternate miles between 6 mpm and 5:20 mpm for 10 miles
From 10/2 on will be a traditional taper.
