I'm thinking of making this my debut Marathon. I live in NY and had been planning on Philly, but lost a few weeks of training due to injury and don't expect to hit my earlier projection anymore. I figured that I'd make a nice vacation of it, get the first marathon done and screw the time.
Now I'm hitting some good workouts again and wondering if I can bust a decent time afterall, so suddenly, I'm concerned about the course and the event. I know its pretty huge.... I'm also worried about being dehydrated from a long flight from the east coast, and then adjusting to 75-80 degrees from early winter in NY.
It also starts at 5am Sunday morning... i was planning to fly in on Thursday. Is this enough time to overcome whatever jet lag from the east coast?
