What was that about? Taunting in a heat?
Is he from the "Michael Stember get my ass kicked in the finals" school of running?

What a moron. Let's see him taunt Merritt from 40 meters back in the final.
No he is taking his cue from Rupp in the 5k Olympic trials

Where is Rogge when you need him? This is an outrage! What is the world coming too? I demand an IOC condemnation at once!
It's Martyn Rooney. Clearly an ass.
Was pretty funny, knowing that he is in all likelyhood going to be getting his ass handed to him by at least the US, and I could see Jamaica being closer in the final. I was intrigued by one of the announcers saying there was a rumor Bolt might run- would be hilarious to see Bolt run him down after that.
It would be smart to put Bolt in. There could be a new WR. and I'm not joking.
Oh jesus, the dude f***ing looks back and barely wags the baton. Come on you bunch of pussies, who gives a f***?

Do you really think Jamaica's other three legs will be fast enough to put Bolt in that position? Who knows but if there is a new world record I'd still say the USA has the best chance of getting it. Wariner needs to man up though. I think Taylor and Merritt will perform quite well. If Clement (assuming he is the other member) pulls off a good leg then I think the WR is in jeojardy because Merritt and Taylor are on fire. Wariner is very capable clearly... if he is not the same person that showed up in the 400m final.
The president of the IOC, Rogge should. He cares deeply about sportsmanship, apparently. Or he did 2 days ago after Bolt won a gold medal and set a world record.
As a GB athletics fan, I have lots of time for Martyn Rooney, he's a big talent, only 21 yrs old, and has th potential to be very good at 800m (1:50 at 18 before focusing on 400m). He also conducts himself very well in interviews and appears to be articulate and intelligent.
Of course he made himself look silly doing that in a heat, and I expect he's a little embarrassed when he looks back.
There's a lot more to the guy than one error of judgement.
Only 21 eh?
Same age as Bolt.
One would have thought he’d have been running with a sense of remorse and shame and concentrating purely on qualifying for the final, rather than acting the big shot.
Oh, he’ll probably run a blinder in the relay - as usual.
But when the chips were down in the individual contest - he blew it.
He ran 44.80 in the semis - a days rest - came out and ran 45.12 for 6th place in the final.
I laughed my ass off when I saw that. I would laugh my ass off even more if Britain does even get a medal in the final, because the face he is going to have, will be priceless.
Because of course USA have had a great games...
