How about considering that some people, particularly from different (to your) cultures, express themselves in ways that dont necessarily fit the mould that you are comfortable with?

I spent 5 weeks in the BEAUTIFUL Yunnan Province of China before my 2;18 at Berlin. I credit my training there with my good time in Berlin, and all that I was doing was training hard and eating great food.

I have a good "6th Sense" about people, having spent more than 5 years in Asia now, and I believe that the Chinese are a good, honorable race of people who believe in fair play.

Because of my very positive experiences in China,

I will be going back to Yunnan Province (in partcular, Lijiang at 8000 feet) to train for the Marugame Half and Biwa-ko Marathon (both in Japan, Feb.2 and March 2, respectively).

one maybe skeptical bout chinese japs performance. but they deserve it, they train hard all year round and they raced less. you see, coaches are the ones responsible deciding whether to race or not.

29:31 doesn't seem so fast anymore, does it? Radcliffe could run it any time now. We all thought 14:28 was ridiculous and then Szabo, Radcliffe, Yegorova, Masai, etc., all approach it and it's not so fast. Keep blaming drugs and just ignore the hard training. Drossin took more than a minute off of her 10K time, so did WeJo some time back. The 2:20 barrier has been shattered. Now wait until more competitive big-time women's 10K races emerge in Brussels, etc. 29:30 will be broken.
