the cold is where we seperated the men from the boys. I specifically remember fred "i have girly hair" joslyn and chuck 'i have to first names' terry not going to nationals that year.
Fred and Chuck ran good races. A terrible race by John Lynch doomed the Cortland team chances.
with everyone here on john lynchs' dick so much you better hope no one hunts you down.
I skeeet skeeet skeet for platsburgh :)
I remember in 2004 a handful of male and female runners had problems that race. They had the warming tent at the finish line. It will probably not be a factor for the top runners but may affect a handful of runners not used to the cold. That said, when that course is rock solid, it is FAST.
I'd say the groupies bring a flask of a hard liquor to keep them warm.
except it looks like it will not be rock solid this year....in fact may be quite the opposite.
u mean rock solid like me?

Too bad, next year Plattsburgh.
I don't understand why so many people think Plattsburgh will be in the Top 5? Have they beat Ithaca this year? Have they shown they can beat TCNJ? Everyone says they have all these great runners or people injured who will be back, but I don't think that constitutes putting them in front of teams they've underperformed all year.
I know I'm just pointing you out, but that's because it was easiest, many other people on this board think this too. Maybe someone can explain to me why so many people have Plattsburgh in the Top 5?
There seems to be a mythical aura around Pburg that they're the only team who knows how to peak for regions out of all the teams in the Atlantic. Of course they haven't qualified a team to nationals since 1999 and have only had two All Americans since then, but they're obviously a superior program.
Compare them to TCNJ who have qualified every year since 2000 and have had five All Americans in that time frame and you can see why Pburg is hands down the better team historically.

All it takes is one person under different names to post the same predictions and vola.. you have pburg bonanza. That said. I do agree with the bringing of man juice to keep us spectators warm and I hope to see everyone the night before.

...I'd say its because everyone likes to pick an upset but everyone likes to be right also...plattsburgh is the most logical worth while upset for people to give the old "oh man I totally called that one dude!"...and you're correct about Plattsburgh not beating Ithaca (although they did tie once)idk if people think the injured runners are going to run...but if you put plattsburghs Mike Heymann 30 seconds out in front of Ithacas best runner thats a lot of points that weren't in the mix before...thats my best attempt at an explanation for you

great job at describing TCNJ in the past 8 years...too bad they run the teams from 2008 at regionals not the 2000-2008 alumni squads...no one said Plattsburgh was a superior program to TCNJ (over the past 8 years because they aren't) no one said Plattsburgh is the only team that knows how to peak for regionals (because they aren't)...as a matter of fact most people have been giving TCNJ credit for being able to peak well for regionals...I guess your tirade was a bit unneeded unless you just felt like trying to make plattsburgh look bad...of course you'd have to neglect the success they've had on the womens side
Low blow...maybe you're handle should be "jealous that a girl beats my 10k PR"
Last I heard she was fat and not running anymore. Shame to let a 33:57 go to waste like that.

the only thing low is her blood iron
Is she even running yet? anyone know her plans or how she looks now? All I know is she was always a nice looking runner and a polite competitor.
nice look? i guess so, if you're into the whole 'skin hanging from bone' look
