t's tough to say if NYU or SLU will come out on top but I'd like to see SLU beat NYU without their full (scholarship) team.
Neither SLU nor NYU provide athletic scholarships.

The talk of Plattsburgh has killed the thread!
Who will win this weekend? SLU or NYU? Will Brockport or RPI do enough to move into the top 10 in the region?
There is a lot of Platt talk on this thread, and for good reason. I see them as a 'swing team,' who on a good day could take top 5 in the region. They haven't been near the top (as a team) in a while, and it's good to see them back on the war path.
Has anyone noticed their single-file cooldown? What's the deal with that?
A Seth DuBois interview was just posted on the DIII Trackshark blog.
Good interview,any weekend action rsults yet....penn state?,NYU?,SLU?
Penn State results will be here,

when posted.
Other meets aren't until tomorrow.
Thanks for the links!
Very impressive for the Cortland men--the front five Red Dragons were at 5:00 pace or faster...
With Cortland running like that barring injury the season is basically over now for anyone who thought they might win nattys this year much less regional’s.
C-State's race was simply amazing. Being a fellow D3'er its nice to see them stick it to some of these D1 programs. Just shows it doesn't matter where you go to college its the performances you throw down that gain respect from all.
NYU men (and Schneider) win handily at Oberlin, CMU runs JV:

NYU (34sec spread for scorers) had a guy run 25:37, finishing 32nd of 270 finishers--and didn't make the Violets' top seven.
SLU men fourth, SLU women third.
NYU women show signficant improvement, within shouting distance of CMU; Case women cruised:

Now that I think about it, it seems like the posters who were putting NYU in their Regional top three might have a point. They really drilled SLU, which ran very well...
Impressive run by NYU.
Is Oberlin a really flat course or shorter than a 8K? Times seemed really fast.
Nice to see the Atlantic Region represent well. NYU dominating, SLU finishing 4th, RPI 11th, and Brockport 15th.
Obviously things can change, but the AR men are looking more and more like a five-team contingent for Nationals.
Results aren't up yet but Geneseo men ran impressive at UofR with the top five under 26 and the sixth man at 26:03 - Lee Berube didn't run either.
Tom Williams was around 25:25? Time could be wrong as I wasn't standing at the line but within 5 seconds of that. Good race
NYU ran very well! What a bust out race from Zach Maher, <25:00. SLU ran well, too. Ramsey's time was very fast(24:52). Both teams should be proud. Even though St. Lawrence lost to NYU there's no shame in losing to a team that had a race like that. Both teams did well for the region, too. The Atlantic has to be viewed as a favorite to get five teams into nationals at this point. The Violets and the Saints beat teams like Mt. Union and Allegheny that were ranked pretty high, 18th and 13th, respectively. Both schools should find themselves in the top fifteen (if not top 10-7 in NYU's case) early next week. Good race from RPI. They were led by a speedy performance from Chris Donais (25:32). RPI can now stake a solid claim to a spot in the top ten in the region, No? Brockport on the other hand, not as good. Where is Kent for them?
A couple questions to think about: Does NYU vault ahead of Geneseo in the polls? Who would come out on top if they raced? TCNJ appears to be the only mysterious team left. Does anybody expect they can hang with what SLU showed today? The Saints welcomed back one Kenyon (Kiplagat) but the other was no where to be found; what could SLU be doing with Jermey Mwenda? Finally, I've been waiting to see, definitively, what Schneider can do to pose this question (which I think will be the bet debate on the board): who gets second behind Kosgei? Nally, Schneider, Debois, Heymann, Gerreuro Ramsey, other? I personally like Schneider.
first and foremost- wow hats off to NYU. they looked very very impressive this weekend. congrats to them. i just closed the results but i believe they had 6 guys in front of SLUs 2nd. which brings me to my next point-SLU. They also had a great race which should help them out at regionals if they get 5th again like last year (which is quite possible depending on TCNJ). I really don't want to bring this back up because I think we should focus on how great the AR is running right now but SLU had one kenyan who was their third man. So everyone that was saying how cheap it was to go out and get these amazing athletes, i just don't understand. Is there something I am missing? I don't think they are going to win nationals because their 3rd man is from kenya.
Also great races from schneider and ramsey. keep up the great racing boys.
Had to be a short course or basically a track race... Brockport and RPI having multiple sub 26 guys???
yeah...seems like a lot of the courses ohio and west are always really fast or really short...guys from the AR run 25 mid to 25 high all year and drill the guys running 24 low from regions west whenever nationals rolls around...anyway idk if NYU looked as good as everyone is saying maybe the course was short/superfast and SLU had an off day...I'm not saying they didn't look good but idk if they looked as good as everyone is saying
anyone notice the womens times are extrememly fast too? maybe it was just perfect conditions and a fast course...I kinda doubt they'd measure incorrectly in both races in such a big meet
