OK... so, I'm a former all american (3k, 5k) graduated 5 years ago and stayed with serious training for about 2.5 years after that until a few serious injuries set me back.
I'm female, 5'7" 125lbs and in college, i comfortably ran 80 mi a week (and was about 10 pounds lighter).
My question - i haven't run consistently at all over the last 2 yrs. During those 2 years i have not been very good to my body - i eat extremely healthy, but drink and a do some other things quite a bit.
So, what should i do to get myself back into training. I mean, i know, obviously cut back on drinking and quit drugs but -- as far as getting back into running consistently... what would people advise? keeping in mind that I'm prone to stress fractures
I probably can't get up to more than 50 miles a week w/ my work schedule which stinks b/c i love high mileage. But I'd like to start up again and do some 10k's and work up to a marathon, which I should be able to do in 2:50-ish (really 2:30-40 given my college times but I'm just being realistic)
I'd just like some help working out a training plan i can stick to!
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
