You would have had a stronger case without mentioning Paul (sic) TreacyThree weeks out, and yeah 1000-1500 is SOOOOoo "overdistance". No chance of bouncing back in time off of that kind of slog.

Think of Paul Treacy running that 50k before his LA silver in the marathon; or Brendon Foster throwing down that 20k before the '76 10,000 final.
