Well, I've had some bad luck with coaches and some really good luck when training on my own, so I think I'm just gonna try running solo for a while. I still plan on being competitive and running some xc, indoor, and outdoor meets (not just local 5k runs). It sucks because I'd love to run on a team and have it be everything it's supposed to be, but I just can't enjoy running when every workout is battle to stay alive and my coach punishes me for performing poorly by making me train even harder. I hope to gradually build up to 90-100mpw by the end of fall and then do a few indoor races in Jan and Feb. I haven't made any concrete plans because I'm not even running yet, but I have an idea.
