So I used to run and made a 1 1/2 month comeback this spring and ended up running 201 for 800. Then I quit running again right after that. My longest run ever has been like 20 miles at around 7 min pace.
I want to go out and run a trail marathon (I'd also settle for a 20 miler) just for the experience at a really slow pace, not really caring about much more than finishing.
Can I feasibly accomplish this? I have a pretty high threshold for pain and great willpower when it comes to getting through a run. I think I might run for a week or two (every other day) before attempting it and get in a long run during that time of like 13 miles or so.
What are trail races like? Can someone enlighten me?
