He probably used an I.V. unit to help flush his system of performance enhancing drugs and masking agents. Thus, he happened to have one with him at the Euro. Champs.

the fact is, his name has been on the IAAF doping lists before-- see 2004 doping lists:

what does "public warning" mean?
It's a euphemism for "unpunished."
Legal research has shown that the Dutch federation has sold a shitload of bullshit to the press talking about the illegal nature of the intraveneous infusion. President Wim Slotbeeck talked about 'medical setting' and 'applied by doctor' as requirements. Research by legal experts have shown that Wada rules in 2006 did not specify any of these requirements and Slotbeeck has bullshitted to cover his and the Feds ass. The infusion was perfectly legal as there was a clear medical need and Vroman was not going to run the final anymore.
It is also rumoured that former Olympic Champ Ellen van Langen has leaked ultra confidential emails to the press in this case. Seems like the federation is ready to step down...... I cannot imagine they can keep their seats after all these lies......:)

Wow. The list are long. There are a lot of cheats out there. And those are just the ones that got caught. Never heard of some of them, even some of the USA athletes. The big names get the press, others not so much.
Forgive me for a potentially stupid question but their was a guy on that list who tested positive for meth. There aren't any performance enhancing benefits to meth are there? It just surprised me to see a meth user on that list.
what does all this mean?? It is slightly incoherent, but I am
interested in the consequences of what you are writing.
The Dutch federation never wanted to be open about the fact that doctors gave him an infusion just because he was pretty damn sick and wasn't gonna run the final anymore anyway. There was nothing illegal about it, but the fed feared rumours and whiped it all under the big dutch carpet. Now the rumours came out, they are trying to nail him with old news claiming things were illegal, so they blame it on him in order not to loose their position in the board of the Fed.
It is rumoured that Ellen van Langen, former Olympic gold digger, made up an email in Vromans name to make him look bad and subsequently leaked this one to the press. Not sure about the exact nature of that email but a board member leaking things to the press, doesn't sound to me like proper practice...... a shame the board is tsill sitting in their comfortable seats!!!
Sounds like a kewl soap opera. If you find any information about this online, please post a link. That might help with his "I ate Ronnie Coleman. That's how the Dbol got into my system" defense.
Seriously, if you know of any source online, please post the info.
Thanks
As expected, the whole infusion story was a big joke. Vroemen has been declared innocent by all members of the Dutch sports court. He evidenced that the infusion was according to all rules and was only set after he got deriously ill and dehydrated.
GO VROEMEN!!
Am I missing something? He still tested positive for a steroid, no? Who cares about whether or not he got IV fluids?
