I think he'll do very well in the hurdles. Still seems odd that he didn't run the flat at the Trials. He could've at least made the relay team.
I heard that if he ran, he would have been threatened with a false positive by some exec.
Trying to keep the athletic scene dark and dumb apparently.

That right, he is sponsored by Adidas.
You "heard", huh? Go on....
I also heard that this same exec was holding his girlfriend hostage and were going to kill her if Rock ran.
umm.. it's totally bizarre that he didn't run the trials if his coach is going to come out and say his chances were better than not that he;d make the Olympic team...
makes no sense for him not to run in the trials. There is another story going on here.
hello, he ran, he just DNFed

He was DNS.
I also heard that if he ran, they were going to inject his samples with pebbles. Everyone would then be suspicious of if he was a rock, or a pebble.

fruity pebbles?
whats up with athletes these days? One year is like whoa, they're #2 or #3 in the world. And they're super young.
Then 18 months later they can't even pick themselves up.
Andrew Rock 44.35 can't even finish?
Xavier Carter 19.63 can't even finish?
Alan Webb 3:46, can't finish top 3.
All these guys are young too- these were their Olympics.

If you had watched the race on TV, you would have seen his lane was wide open. He didn't run.
If you are suggesting that he can turn invisible, that's patently absurd! Go back to dyestat where they'll accept your senseless paranormal ideas.
I hope this is a sarcastic response. Anyone who watched the heats live clearly saw he was a DNS. As the cameras zoomed in on the athletes, they skipped over his lane. When they showed the lane assignments, his lane was listed as "open."
Like someone said, if he skipped the trials even though he had a 90% chance of making it (according to his coach), something fishy is going on. Unless he thinks he can be the best in the world at the 400 hurdles, there's really no reason to run them. Even if he did decide to run them, an Olympic year is the worst time to switch events.
maybe he just needs a change and wants a new challenge, simple as that. may or may not work out, what's wrong with trying?
yeah, that article made it sound like he was really struggling with 400, and just wasn't into it. Hopefully the hurdles will change that. I think he'll do exceptionally well at 400 hurdle distance. He's just an absurd track athlete.
