Sorry the thread title sounds like a marketing quote......

Just want to give everyone a heads-up:

it is an aqua-running suit, much better than them belts because it mimicks running style better AND stops you from falling forward (which ruins posture/level pelvis). also, there are shoes which make you feel like you are actualy running. top soccer clubs in europe use them along with your standard elite athletes.

has anyone used them?

they make the whole experience much better. if anyone out there uses aquatraining a lot, or intends on doing it properly, then without doubt, the suit is the best way of doing so.

I aqua run on a daily basis in the pool at my apartment building in Bangkok. In fact, I chose this particular building because of the awesome pool: A full 25 meter pool with a proper deep end (3 meters deep).

I go for about 20 minutes a day, sometimes after my morning run or sometimes later, about 11am. It keeps the muscles refreshed and relaxed.

I never use a belt or other device in the water. You don't really need to if you are a somewhat fit guy.

I'm somewhat of a fit guy, but I can never stay above the water without a belt even when I'm working pretty hard. Am I doing something wrong, or am I just a sinker?

keeping muscles refreshed and relaxed doesnt sound like the training an athlete does, no offence.

aquarunning is for athletes looking to continue their running training in the pool due to injury, the need to cross train/avoid impact, train without the extra recovery time needed from landrunning.

I have used the aqua running suit and shoes. Very impressive. My problem, being a skinny distance runner, is that the belt slips up around my chest and obviously offsets the centre of buonancy. The suit ensures that this doesnt happen. I believe an American researcher, Dr Kilgore, at Linfield College provided the research into the suit

well ucla,

id a similar experience, i just didnt feel myself in the belt and it was never on tight enough (im skinny as hell) but the suit - different story!

yes, the evidence was compiled in america, although it has been done before, the suit itself has not been researched in the same way standard aquarunning has.

what sort of training do you use it for so?

and refreshed! in fact, he's probably doing more harm than good, because theres no buoyancy whatsoever, too much effort for doing something that would be done FOR him by an aquasuit, never mind fitness
