Anyone ever get tempo tummy? You know, that achy, twisted feeling in your bowels after a hard effort or workout? It sucks.

Feeling it right now. It's the worse after a marathon that you run faster in than you trained for.

If your tempo runs feel hard you aren't doing them right.
Diarrhea. I sometimes get it after tempo runs; is that what you're referring to? If you work out earlier in the day, it's easier to avoid: eat constipating foods (bagels, bananas) to gum up the works. Avoid dried fruits, dairy and minimize fat. If it still doesn't work, take a shot of Pepto.
Malmo,
I'm training largely for 15km to HM races this summer and fall. Running 70-90km per week...what's the ideal length for a tempo and should they feel about what 13.1 race pace feels like or maybe a tad faster? I'm thinking 40min efforts at about HM effort, say covering about 10km. Also what do you think about tempos run on courses with some nasty hills of 600m-1mile in length? Too hilly?
Thanks.
