I have read some recent threads discussing aerobic and lactate threshold. I understand that "lactate threshold" is the pace I can hold for one hour and have figured it to be about 6:40. How then does one calculate the aerobic threshold that I have seen in discussions by JK, Renato, Tinman and others? How do you then use that to improve your marathon times?
I recently ran a 5k time trial in 19 minutes and am looking to keep up the improvement, hopefully running 42k under 3:10 someday. If it helps, I'm 44.
