the toe box on the 1062 does not fit very well unless you have really thick toes. the rider is much more responsive and it is lighter.
if you want a big, heavy, mushy slow pace running shoe then the 1062 is right for you, otherwise the rider is the way to go.
we also have noticed that in general the consistency of the Mizuno product is much better than NB. every so often you see an upper not centered on the midsole, and the overlays arent always consistent.
my store sells 5 pairs of riders for every pair of 1062s.

This is a poor way to pick shoes, for future reference. Go to a running store, try both on. Only way you can know what fits and what doesn't. I know at least one 14:30ish 5k runner who only weight about 130 that is in love with the 1062.
