Has anybody besides Michael Wardian tried this out? I think it has serious merits. You don't run every race all-out; you simply incorporate your training into them.
Benefits:
1) Prizes (cash, shoes, whatever, anything helps)
2) By racing all the time, you become comfortable in racing environments, so you get fewer negative nerves when your big competition finally rolls around.
3) If you're one of those people who believes that intervals make you soft because in real races you don't get recovery, well this solves that problem.
Thoughts? Experiences with this?
