Wondering if anyone can give any personal experience on how long it might take to go from way out of shape to something resembling shape. Used to be 6'1" and 170 pounds about 10 years ago, not a great runner but ran 1:57 800m and 4:07 1500m. Now been in working world for 10 years and 6'1" 210, stopped running but just started up trying again last week. Running 4 miles at 10 minute pace now, very frustrating but understandable. I'm not looking to get into killer shape but would like to be able to do runs at 7 minute pace or so.
Anyone been here and gotten back to decent shape with any advice??
