What happened to Andy McClary in the 1500? What are rules 5.3A and 5.3B?

If you look at the splits he was like 7th anyways.
apparently he elbowed watson and caused him to fall. can watson get in to ncaa's?
When did this happen in the race?
Watson is sitting at 35 on the PF list. Teammate Benninger just got in at fifth. So does the NCAA just assume Watson would have gotten into the top five? Wouldn't that bump Benninger? Can't have it both ways, but, hey this is Notre Dame we're talking about.
I'm guessing both get in.
How many at larges are usually taken to nationals in the 1500? Do they run a semi and final or do they have rounds a semi and finals?
About 50 meters from the finish the Arkansas guy went from land 1 to lane 3 trying to get around someone. He has a strange running style anyway, swinging his arms from side to side. He hit the Notre Dame guy with his right arm, and caused the ND guy to lose balance, going to the ground. There is no NCAA protocol for letting a downed runner advance. The videotape of the race was very clear. The Arkansas runner should have been dQ'd.
That recap doesn't really sound like the race I was watching.. Looked like too much pushing throughout, but the guy that fell (notre dame?) yelled something and fell to the ground. Looked like pure exhaustion to me. Obviously he was trying to qualify.. I was just watching from the fence.. Didn't make a difference either way though..
Was this Runnerspace picture taken a couple of seconds before the ND guy went down? Even if not, it's a sweet pic.
mideast field.
I have the videotape of the entire event. It is exactly as I stated.
I don't know.. It just didn't look like the guys' ARMS caused the notre dame guy or whoever to fall down..
