It was more Solinsky losing to runners he normally wouldn't have lost to, then Centro beating a "normal" Solinsky. Of course, people will claim I'm bashing Centro.

perhaps ur right, but i bet centro will chock it up to beating a multple time ncaa champ and world class runner who should be very fit right now. of course teg ran like a slappy recently and riley got outkicked br rupp so maybe these guys are flat from training right nw
This is another dumb thread. Solinsky was in the "B" race. Obviously he ran the B race for a reason, and most likely as a tune-up for Pre.
Don't read anything in the results, although it won't stop ttc from proclaiming that Solinsky doen't know how to race, or doesn't know how to train, or needs to switch coaches.

Solinsky was not in the B race. There was no B race. (Although there were other mile races, they were Nike Employee races, not B level elite races.)
Asmeron, Jefferson and Solinsky gapped the field at the bell, and by the time they emerged from the trees (170m to go) Solinsky had dropped well back. Centro was nowhere near the front three at 1200m, but ran a nice last 400m (58ish) and went by Solinsky with about 50m left.

Just the opposite. I was bashed when praising Solinsky for finishing a 5K in 4:01 (1600M) and predicting a top 3 USATF placing. It was a 14:00-flat race and everyone said pretty much any U.S. pro could've kicked like that.
