Dammit, no one will answer me. Is Kaul injured or not? Did the golf car take him out of commission or not?

but didn't the d3 guys who ran in the d1 race do it two days after running an 8k at d3 nats? not exactly a lot of recovery time going against fresh, basically full time athletes.
yeah but uh wrote:

Internet Explorer 8 is not ready, this is like the 10th time that's happened to me after quoting...
They knew what they were getting into by going to D1 nats two days later. I'd argue that they probably were near their best, if even better, because they didn't press down too much on the gas pedal in the first mile. They ran smart and ran people down. (Plenty of guys PR at NCAA Outdoor Nats doing a double)
Kosgei being an AA? Meh... Last year, the two guys that were up and down of his steeple time in D1 were Pete Janson and Patrick Mutai. Mutai was 48th at XC nats, and Janson 143rd.
So, to me, the jury is still out. Who has he raced? Sure, he's beating people to a pulp, but has he seen any real competition from D1 runners, that would indicate he could be an AA?
penn relays 2008?? I would say he beat some decent d1 guys there....notably the other kosgei from arkansas (who was a mutli-time D1 all-american)
good point ummmm...Kosgei will eventually break 14:00 and 8:35 while in college.
But I guess my point wasn't that he could be a D1 AA. It was that he is that good, and therefore is untouchable at the DIII level.
bump

That was last spring, and he beat the "other kosgei" who was hurt all of indoors... wooo!
I'd say that the guy hasn't raced anyone good from D1 all year, and won't, so why talk about him being AA in D1? Maybe he could, maybe not, there's no way to connect the dots.
results from men's mile at d1 indoor championships:
1 Leonel Manzano SR Texas 4:04.45
Kosgei will run that this year, indoors.
Ok, PLEASE, let's keep our noses off Kosgei's ass for a while. Give this guy a f***ing break!
Here is my predictions for Kosgei when by the end of his senior year.
800: 1:46.32
mile: 3:56.89
steeple: 8:13.75
5k: 13:47.13
10k: 28:17.49
how did he end up at DIII Hamilton?

Those are bold predictions. He may accomplish those in college, but I'm going to say he won't run that fast until a year after college.
Kosgei is awesome but 8:13, in college, is not going to happen. That is certain. And he probably will smash the field at the National Meet.
What are some predictions for top ten runners behind Kosgei?
I think that ginger Connor Lonning from UW-LaX has a shot at the individual title.
hahaha...quite the biased prediction. Mcguire from UWO and Meyer from UWSP will be in the top 10. Kaul will NOT be an AA. Those are my WIAC takes.

If you do believe his 800 is going to be that fast. Why wouldn't he be capable of atleast a 3:53 mile with that speed. i.e Steve Scott (145.05; 347.69 i believe). In all likelihood he will not get to push himself in a mile race indoors, which is the only likely time and place where he will run a mile so i can respect that time prediction if you were thinking along those lines. I would say 3:34 for 1500m if he gets in a good race this spring. He is faster and stronger than Leer was a couple years ago, just to compare. 8:13 in the steeple is stupid and will not be done by Kosgei ever... He's a miler if you ask me. He has terrible steeple form...yuck.
Kosgei will win cross..behind him
kaul, mull, chenowith, greeno, kosgey, team cortland, christianson, meyer (stp0, harvey, spain, mcguire, faller, guerriero if he's running not sure. not necessarily in this order
His pr's in prepatory school were somewhere around 2:15 and 4:45 not exactly DI material.
mine would have to be mull, chenowith, kaul, kosgey, gotta love the team cortland, then all the rest the same. btw hahaha to the team cortland

Is Kaul still brusied up from the golf cart incident? Does anyone know?
impressive run for cortland especially since there top 6 were all under shamus nallys time of 26:29 last year. And there 7th only seconds off of shamus time from last year! You have to believe cortland is strong enough to put their top 5 in the top 15
