It's a great track shoe! Hell I wore it for an indoor mile. The spike placement is really neutral, so even on a rock-hard track, you won't feel the plate pressing up against your metatarsals. And it's got a bit more cushioning than, say, the milers. Unlike most cross spikes, they are plenty light enough for track. You could get away with the forever XC being your only spike.
