To make a long story short, I finished College, and I am currently looking for a "real life" job. I've had two interviews so far and right now the one that appears to be the best deal is a job that has minimal hours. This will leave me a ton of time to go running and keep training hard. I wasn't very good in College, I ran a 15:15 5k, and a 32:05 10k. Anyways, I wanted to train through this cross country season and get ready for a track 10k at the end of April. What should be the best way to go about it? I've fantasized about running huge miles (for me, 120mpw) and doing nothing but LT and longer tempo runs. Another fantasy Ive had is training for a marathon in the fall, take a week off, then get the miles back up for track season. Which is the best way to go? What do you guys think I should do? I know you guys on here have nothing against giving a piece of mind to a fellow anonymous poster. Would I improve more training for 10 months straight (June 08-April 09), or would I improve more running an outdoor/indoor season with a peak and everything?
