Monday: AM easy 5 PM easy 8 (incl. strides)
Tuesday: AM easy 5 PM workout 13 total
Wednesday: AM easy 5 PM medium long run 13
Thursday: AM easy 5 PM workout 13 total
Friday: AM easy 5 PM easy 8 (incl. strides)
Saturday: AM workout 13 total PM easy 5
Sunday: AM long run 18 PM easy 4
This has worked for me so far. I can't imagine doing it any other way; I really need 2 days per week when neither of my runs goes over 8 miles. I've noticed the Hansons don't seem to have this problem; they have weeks where their main run is at least 14 miles every day.
The hardest part of this schedule is going out on Wednesday night and running for 90 minutes. After 70 I am really just ready to quit, even if the pace is easy.
