Looking at the young crop of runners (college freshman-juniors or so), there seems to be an incredible collection of talent. With a quick look, I come up with:
Andrew Bumbalough (3:58 mile, 3:40 1500, 13:41 5000, 7:53 3000), junior, sophomore eligibility wise?
Andrew Wheating (3:58 mile, 1:48.8 800 (beating Christian Smith)), sophomore?
A.J. Acosta (3:40, 13:50, 3:58), soph
Jack Bolas (3:41), soph
Craig Miller (3:41), soph
Evan Jager (3:41), freshman!!
That's an exciting group of guys that will hopefully continue to improve and push each other over the next few years. How do you think this group compares to the slightly older generation of solinsky, rupp, mcdougal, withrow, etc. obviously no where close to them yet in terms of achievements, but potential? Discuss.
Also, not that this matters, but if I had to rank the new group in terms of talent, I would go 1) Andrew Wheating 2) Evan Jager 3) Bumbi/Acosta tied 4) Bolas 5) Miller
Feel free to weigh in yourselves.
