that was awesome. Lional Larry on his anchor leg in the 4 x 100 relay, crusing in with a 10 meter lead, running 9.7, turns his head and stares down the crowd as he comes up the stretch. In your face!
that was 'a statement'; but he'd better come back and win the 400m for the Trojans, as expected or he'll look like a jackass.
Any snapshots from the volunteer photographers ?
meet just 1/3 in, so far; photos probably on the UCLA and USC websites, later. UCLA guy just won the 110 hurdles in 13.4, but SC took 2-4th. Tight meet on mens and womens side so far, but I expect the 'larger numbers' that UCLA has, (due to being a public, State U vs: USC being a private school with very few walk ons), to fill in the gaps with more points.
you think ucla is going to win because they are a public school?
that doesnt seem to bother USC football. everyone has the same number of scholarships, and I HIGHLY doubt USC has trouble getting people to walk on to one of the best programs in the nation.
Is that Carol Rodriguez who just won the 400m for USC in 51.3, hot or what? a real beauty.
looks like USC's Lionel Larry backed up his bragging and showboating; he just won the 400m in 45.
Allyson Felix is doing commentary along with Dwight Stones and Alto Boldon; even though she went pro and never ran for USC, she just graduated and has a t shirt on that says "USC women rock"
I used to attend this meet when I lived in LA in the 70s and 80s. I am sad to see that the crowd appears to be about 1/2 of what it was back in those days. Too much to do in LA I guess with the Angels, Dodgers, Lakers and Galaxy all playing. An 80 degree Saturday has probably sent many people to the beach and parks too. Too bad.
i can get to a TV, how many people would you say are watching now?
they just showed Laker owner Jerry Buss in the stands with one of his 20 year old girlfriends. He was a USC grad.
It's the fight between the only two Oly/WC Medal factories in the world, huh. Wish I could be there. I'm jealous, and green with envy.

Cocco went to USC because of their film school. she was a child actress who was in the running for the part the Cristen Duntz (sp?) had in Interview with the Vampire, with Tom Cruise, back in the early 90s. Her mom took her out of the running for the part due to the violence in the movie.

the facts are: tuition at USC is $55,000 per year and they only give 12 scholarships for track.
The facts are, you are retarded and incorrect.
