No, nobody's going to show up. Didn't you get the memo? The entire world is boycotting Grandma's Marathon.
nah
I'm running Grandma's this year. Looking to go sub 3:00 (as in, 2:59:59).
But I'm dealing with a little PF right now, so I'm taking 4 days off. If it continues, I'll have to adjust my goals.
Won't be seeing much of you if you're going sub 2:25.
Good luck!
Yup! Still my favorite course. I think this will be like my 9th time. Did 7 of the first 8 ,then took 24 years off, returning last year.
Ran my PR there in 1981.2:26:00. Ahem, 2007, 4:04, no PR, just finishing was all the ole' bod seeemed to muster.
But the beer was just as good , the girls prettier, and the music loud as ever.
Towing along a friend from England, and a bro-in-law this year. Grandma's rocks!!
Good luck with the 2:25 goal.
The field should be good for the half. Might be one of the better years for the Bjorklund half.
I'm in. Probably shooting for 2:45, but not sure at this point. Good luck to everyone.
I'm in too. If the conditions are right I'm shooting for 2:30. Never run it before, but I was the support crew for my dad there a couple of times. Enjoy the race.
Who's running the half that's so good?
almost buddy.
you'll probably run 2:35.
i meant to say JOG.

wow! this is awesome. unprovoked hating, classic letsrun. please run grandma's so i can beat you.
good luck to all you guys or girls running this year. what is the course like to run? are the winds that come of the lake hard to deal with? after last year it has to be cool, right?
Been hot for 2 in a row now. Third times' a charm.
Nope.
You are the only entry this year. Think you can run 2:25 by yourself?
ok recycled lame jokes on the same page of the same thread. you know what he means dumbasses!
The course is very nice, and reasonably flat. You get the woods and lakeside view for ~18 miles, and then you're into the city and the crowds. lemon drop hill is a joke, so no worries there. The wind is (usually) a cross wind / tail wind off the lake.
This will be my third Grandma's. Intend to BQ for the first time with a 3:15. Just need to shave a minute and change off my PR.
