Fasil and Cabada should be in the first heat, as well as Andrew Carlson.... As mentioned, Cabada is an American record holder... that should get him some respect, no matter what shape he is in.... And Fasil has consistently finished in the top 5 at National Championships this year (15K, 8K)....Andrew Carlson is on Fire this year... 15k National Champ and a close second in the 8K... If the meet did there homework, they would no who is legit and who is isn't.
but I think the second heat will work out for these guys.. There is plenty of comp, with Ed Torres, Rodriguez, Driscoll.... I agree with an earlier post, these guys can run there own race, relaxed 14:00-14:15 through the first 5k and then open it up... probably be best for all these guys... in the first heat, Abdi and Mottram will be out in 13:40-50 and the pack will be in pursuit... so guys who are capable of running 28 low, will die to run 29 and change. The top 3-5 guys from heat 2 will probably be in the top 10 times of the night
