I'M DIFFERENT!
1) don't think so
2) like 2, 3, and 4 the best. For me they are the most relatable, and thus the funniest.
3) hate #1, dislike #6. Don't like the naked dude, and don't relate as I wouldn't get naked in public like that. Don't like #6 because who wants to think about going to the doctor?
4) In some yes, in some no. Obviously targeted to runners, and not the general public.
5) Yes, several of them.
6) Yes.
7) Like in #5, yes.
8) No opinion, never wear them.
9) competitive, but far from elite.
10) 30-39, male

Who are they? I recognize them, but can't remember names. I didn't follow running in the '90s, although I do remember seeing these ads when they came out (before I started running).
The naked guy is Todd Williams. The vasaline is Pete Julian and Jen Rhines. The cablecar is Mark Croghan and Alan Culpepper. Dont know any of the rest...
1) Nope
2) 1 and 8-- because they relate to my past experiences...
3) 6-- as if a runner would ever frame bib numbers
4) Yup.
5) Yup.
6) Yup.
7) Yup.
8) Second tier for a long time. Starting to get better.
9) Former college. Now I'm a gimp.
10) 39 yr old male
These are awesome, I love them! Might not be helpful for your research, but I just wanted to express my opinion....
I thought that was Pete Julian and Jen Rhines, but I didn't even notice Alan Culpepper on the edge of that one. I guess he wasn't with Nike at the time.
I think the question asking people what they think about adidas running shoes will not be representative of the ads since they're 8-10 years old.
I'd look at what people think of adidas in 2009 and use that for imformation on how people feel about the ads that have just recently come out.
I'd say the "runner's yeah we're different" ads affected people's belief about adidas running no longer than maybe around 2001, after that people's beliefs changed to what they felt about current product. I'm sure that people went to adidas because of these ads and then found out that they liked the shoes, then when the shoes went south so did customers' feeling about the brand. I think you'll see that positive feeling about the brand come back over the next 12 months particularly. I love great ads and I think they can help get you back in the game but I think most brands have come to the same realization, Product is King!

I heard one ad is missing. There is a picture of a guy running from police after they find him growing pot in his mom and dads house. He's also chasing after his wallet.
I let you know if I find the picture.
1) Have you seen any of these ads before? (They ran in '99/'00)
I saw the one with the man and woman sitting on the curb applying Vaseline.
2) Which ad(s) is/are your MOST favorite(s) and why?
Most favorite: The last one with the man stretching in line; it's the one that is the most "out of the ordinary" action in a typical public setting, and it also reminds me of Mizuno's current ad campaign ("Your Passion is Our Obsession").
3) Which as(s) is/are your LEAST favorite(s) and why?
The second-to-last ad; nothing really stands out about it.
4) Could you easily tell what the product is?
Some of them yes; some of them no.

I like the new Supernova Cushion. Lightweight, breathable upper, flexible midfoot.
9) Describe what kind of runner you are (high school, college, recreational, elite, etc.).

He didn't catch me.
1) Yes , remember all but the old lady in the doctors office.
2) the "one finger nose blow" ...classic typical runners habit
3) The chick doing the pee squat. because it reminds me of my unfortunate "pooped my pants " race incident.

Bandaid boy is Brian Culley
1) Yes, but I feel that I've seen them recently.
2) #10 (running in the grass by the road), because that's what I do! I also like #11 because of the inappropriateness of the scene in which the guy is stretching. I appreciate #5 because it evokes a more sentimental reaction.
3) #1, (the naked muddy guy), because it's unnecessary for him to be naked in order to show the extent of his muddiness
4) Yeah, mostly because of the quote
5) Definitely
6) of course
7) Yes, especially the fourth
8) I've tried them on but never bought them. I'm attached to Mizunos.
