I think she ran a 9.01 last year. From what I hear, she and her coach have a plan based very much around long term development (ie. not running junior championships etc.).
The point is that there are plenty of other runners as good or better than Hasay but that people seem to be forcing expectations on her alone and already prophecising her failure. I know from personal experience that young runners can be very fragile and susceptible to criticism and I really hope she doesn't read the shit that goes on these boards.
