With McDonnell retiring and with the "fall" of the Arkansas program (completely sarcastic remark), who is the best middle distance program in the country?

Define best. Do you mean the program that consistently puts out the best runners? Do you mean the program that does the most with the least? Do you mean the program that never has any busts? Best could mean a lot of things.
The obvious ones would be:
Stanford
Georgetown
Michigan
Villanova
Some not so obvious ones would be:
Columbia
UNI
Uconn

Texas.
Hard to ignore a roster that has guys like this:
3:35.29 (Manzano)
1:47.36 (Hernandez)
1:47.82 (Everett)
3:59.99 (Brown)
4:00.41 (Morse)
4:00.50 (Miller)
3:41.82 (Stanley)
Texas, Stanford, Oregon,
The Razorbacks are still a very strong MD program.
3:39.81 (Andy McClary)
1:47.90i (Alex McClary)
4:00.87i (Cobrin)
1:49.90 (Bilbrew-true freshman)
3:44.93 (Phillips-true freshman)
1:49.37 & 4:01.35i (Costello)
4:01.94i (Kosgei)
4:03.83i (LaCava)
Maybe not Texas, but for being the "down years" it is clearly not bad.
