Why is it that Oregon schedules a relay meet the same weekend as both Penn Relays and Drake Relays? To me it seems quite the travesty that a legendary meet such as Penn Relays that has a 100+ year history would be watered down by Oregon's attempt at a relay meet on the same weekend. Oregon hosts plenty of meets throughout the season. This year they are hosting our Nation's most important track meet - The Olympic Trials. Why must Oregon take away from other meets with such storied histories? Many collegiate teams will likely be tempted to go to Oregon because Nike will be footing the bill. Just seems like such a shame that the "Championship of America" will be less of a big deal with three seperate relay meets across the country on the same weekend. Discuss.
