And Kastor matches it with a 5:30 of her own...won't catch Lewy Boulet by matching her spilts though.

1:32 leas just before 20 miles. If Deena catches her, it'll be in the last 2 miles.
why are the nbc guys asking so many 'how far back' questions of eachother?? don't they have someone with a laptop providing splits?
if this were MLB, they'd know every batting avg, rbi total, how many times the batter hits a foul with a 2-1 count, etc.
shows how little personnel/$ that network gives to the sport.
not complaining, just an observation
Mile 19 Split: Kastor back to closing the gap...hits 5:30 to Lewy Boulet's 5:41.

Isn't Melissa White in 7th also a member of Hansons? Maybe they will get two more!!
I am surprised by that too. Thought they would have more insight into splits, etc.
If Davila beats Russell, it'd be Blake's 2nd 4th place performance, similar to Lisa Weidenbach taking the heartbreak spot 3 times over. Ouch!

Yup- but it will take a major collapse from one of the leaders- hard to see that happening for Deena- don't know enough about Boulet to predict.
Mile 20 Split: Lewy Boulet slows to 5:51.
Deena made up 15 seconds in mile 20. 1:17 behind...
blake doesnt look that great. hope she makes it though!
Kastor splits 5:34 for mile 20 to gain 17 seconds.
At the risk of looking like a fool, the leader looked to be struggling a bit a 20. Bad patch alone is tough.
Russell is holding on to that 7-second lead. Davila is not cutting in to it. It's still a race for 3rd.
Well, if she's struggling, then it could be a great last 6 miles-
Would think Russell is in unfamiliar land out here she looks fine but I DK her marathon background

Deena only needs to make up 14 seconds per mile to beat her, sounds very likely since Boulet's going from 5:30 to 5:50 isn't too strong.
