I have tried loads of shoes in the stability range but they are to severe .
I run abut 40 mpw and i am 11st 10lbs.

I'm a bit heavier than you and run 45-50 miles per week and have a bit of a over pronation problem. The last 6 pairs of shoes I've purchased have been Brooks Radius. Not expensive and they take a beating of a heavier runner like me, but aren't bricks like the Beast.
Try the Brooks Axiom. Has a little support and is pretty light. Great shoe.
