Right now I've been training for a labor day 8k and have mostly broken my training into distance runs, progression runs, and tempos.
Unfortunately, it is hard for me to get onto the terrain so for now I have to tempo on track (which is decent because I can log my miles). What would be the best bet for me....
Should I run about 4-6 miles based on feel without a watch, or should I carry a watch and track my splits.
I have a general good feeling of what my tempo pace should be, but I feel like with a watch I would keep myself on track (no pun intended).
Am I being too meticulous about keeping splits?
