I have been re-reading your 2003 letsrun posts on Bordin training for Seoul and am very keen to incorporate a lot of the training type into my marathon preparation.
I have a questions with regard to the Faraggiana/Gigliotti 2k test runs that Bordin and Baldini did: Please could you tell me what recovery I should have between the 2ks.
From your posts on Bordin I saw he ran 2ks prior to Seoul marathon with 90secs between reps But I also know from what you wrote about Baldini that recovery was 'just enough to take blood sample', which sounds much shorter than 90secs. I just ran the 6x2k test on road with 90secs jog between (6.37,33,25,19,13,08). My goal marathon pace is 3.10/km ...but race is 3 months ahead.
