How do you know how much support you need? Because a shoe store guy/gal told you so?
I've also been told I "overpronate," whatever that really means, and I ran in shoes with moderate support for many, many years. But I've discovered that I'm actually very much more comfortable (after a lengthy, gradual transition) in neutral shoes with very low heels. Nike Streak XC and Adidas Adizero PR.
The amount of support you REALLY need could (maybe not, maybe so) be a whole lot less than what you THINK you need. At least this has been the case for me.
